Cody Ray & The New Favorites
Cody Ray & The New Favorites
Cody Raymond, born in Corvallis, Oregon August 22, 1991, considers himself a Neo-Soul, singer/songwriter and guitarist. His early beginnings started at the tender age of 5, eagerly waiting for his father to come home to teach him some things on guitar. Raymond's first public performance was at the age of 6, playing piano for his schools talent shows.

Presently, Raymond is working full-time as a musician, fronting a band, performing solo shows and performing on the streets of Seattle in the world famous Pike Place Market. His influences span widely from early jazz to RnB, blues and grunge-rock, and offers a unique live performance experience, drawing the audience in after a single note played. Raymond has drawn inspiration from, Stevie Wonder, Micheal Jackson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ray Charles, and to the more current John Legend, Allen Stone and Bernhoft.

Cody Raymond is building momentum in the state of Washington; keep an eye out and a listening ear.

Birthed in the recording studio, the band began as a solo recording project of songwriter/producer, Jordani Sarreal.

From the touring band of neo-soul artist, Dwele, came the rhythm section: Benji Demps on drums and Noe Rodriguez on bass. Max Watters on guitar was a new addition as well, having played with Jordani in other bands previously (Ethan Tucker, Stephanie Anne Johnson). It was quickly realized that this line-up of musicians was more than a backing band, but a complete package of musical chemistry, drawing inspiration from each member's musical backgrounds. From R&B, Soul, Gospel, Jazz, and Pop, their songs are genre-defying entities that are created purely for the story of the song.

Less than one year into their journey, Jordani & The Sun Kings have toured the West Coast, released a Live Album, and are in the studio recording their first full-length studio album due to be released in 2018.
